biography
Teryn J. Robinson was born in Kankakee, IL, and moved to Chicago in 2004, after completing two master's degrees. A love of learning and connecting with people brought her from professional writing coursework to teaching to student affairs work in higher education. Careers in higher education in Chicago brought her to her true love: the city. By pursuing a master's in urban planning and policy at the University of Illinois at Chicago, she is able to explore her love of maps, technology, public transportation, and community activism. She is moving toward a professional life that involves teaching urban studies and gis, researching, and direct community work with the people of Chicago.
Teryn, her partner, their son Simon, and their cat live on the north side of Chicago, where they enjoy all Andersonville, Uptown, and Lincoln Square have to offer.
